The Murphy House Restaurant – We enjoyed a truly authentic Carolina experience upon dining at this classic establishment. The Murphy House is much different than other restaurants in the same category, offering incredibly delicious food, unbeatable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere. I know you probably hear this all the time from just about every restaurant, however, The Murphy House's timeless recipes gives you the full experience of wholesome cooking with every mouth watering bite. This is what North Carolina cooking is all about. After you have dined at The Murphy House you will have an everlasting memory of what a real meal should taste like.... Freshly made BBQ, fried chicken, fried okra, sweet potatoes, and all your southern favorites are immediately available at the colorful buffet area. The wide array of luscious down-home favorites and scrumptious freshly made deserts will keep you coming back for more and more and…more!

The large dining area with multiple rooms allows for a private, un-rushed dining experience during which you can talk with your friends and family. It is a comfortable, inviting atmosphere boasting The Murphy House’s true southern-style hospitality. At the same time a party can be put into one of the rooms allowing intimate service for meetings, celebrations, and any other event. Meanwhile the friendly, professional staff will be available to take care of any requests or answer questions about the long history of this restaurant.

Just ask any one of the numerous loyal, regular customers why they keep coming to The Murphy House. Or as it quickly becomes clear – one of the numerous friends of The Murphy House who were eager to tell us what they liked best about their favorite restaurant. Digging into a piece of hot & crispy chicken was on the top of the list. Also, the seafood buffet was a sure favorite amongst The Murphy House goers. Of course they told us the meal would not be complete without polishing off some of the many tempting deserts. It seems there is nothing that this restaurant does not offer. And the great thing about The Murphy House is that you don’t have to choose just one of anything. We filled and refilled our plates with a wide variety of delicious items. One could never leave The Murphy House unsatisfied.

You will find that the price at The Murphy House is most surprising. After eating a five course meal and drinking the finest sweet tea in NC we were astonished to see a mere nine or so dollars for the final bill.

And don’t forget to try one of the original Murphy House BBQ sauces during your meal. You can pour them on the BBQ, chicken, ribs, or just about anything you like! We enjoyed the sauces as much as the whole dining experience combined. When you decide which one you have fallen in love with, grab yourself a bottle to take with you on your way out. The Murphy House Jams and brand-name BBQ sauces will keep your love of The Murphy House flavors flourishing in your own home as well.

We took a few bottles of the famous BBQ sauce home with us and could not help but to try it out on grill. We marinated some Shish Kabobs for about two hours before grilling time, then dazzled a bit of the sauce while they were cooking. The Shish Kabobs were a major hit with everyone; The BBQ sauce as a marinade makes the meat tender and juicy...... just perfect. We will make this again and again.

We know you will enjoy The Murphy House as much as we did! The endless choices of fresh and tasty food combined with the warm, welcoming atmosphere gave us a top of the line dining experience. We most enjoyed the famous BBQ and eating amongst such genuine and friendly clientele.
